Only by glaring into the depths of ones own reflection can we find our true selves. It is here where the mirrored voices of our souls speak and can be heard.
In rivers, the water that you touch is the last of what has passed and the first of that which comes; so with present time.
–Leonardo Da Vinci
Silence has a mysterious calming effect allowing your soul to be at peace with your thoughts.
–A. D. Williams
And that is just the point…how the World, moist and beautiful, calls to each of us to make a new and serious response. That’s the big question, the one the World throws at you every morning. “Here you are alive. Would you like to make a comment?”
Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.
There are things you can’t reach. But you can reach out to them, and all day long. The wind, the bird flying away. The idea of God. And it can keep you busy as anything else, and happier.
I look; morning to night I am never done with looking. Looking I mean not just standing around, but standing around as though with your arms open.
Let silence take you to the core of life.
Sometimes I feel like if you just watch things, just sit still and let the world exist in front of you – sometimes I swear that just for a second time freezes and the world pauses in its tilt. Just for a second. And if you somehow found a way to live in that second, then you will live forever.
None of us really changes over time. We only become more fully what we are.
Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.
I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.
Wherever you are, be all there.
The quieter you become, the more you hear.
Harmony is a beautiful balance between mind, body and soul measured in tender peaceful moments.
Life is an echo. What you send out – comes back. What you sow – you reap. What you give – you get. What you see in others – exists in you. Remember life is an echo. It always get back to you. So give goodness.
We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.
The earth has music for those who listen.
I alone can’t change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.
Let go of your mind and then be mindful. Close your ears and listen.
You are the window through which you must see the world.
–George Bernard Shaw
Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakes.
If the ocean can calm itself, so can you. We are both salt water mixed with air.
To see a World in a grain of sand. And a heaven in a wild flower. Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour.
If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive.
Cherish your visions and your dreams as they are the children of your soul, the blueprints of your ultimate achievements.
Only from the heart can you touch the sky.
Wherever you stand be the soul of that place.
Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths.
Visualize this thing that you want, see it, feel it, believe in it. Make your mental blueprint, and begin to build,
The World is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper.
–W. B. Yeats
The more faithfully you listen to the voices within you, the better you will hear what is sounding outside.
